Estoy participando en un concurso sobre historias con Playmobil, ¡la historia más votada se lleva un premio! Esto fue lo que escribí:
When I was 8 my dad gave me my first Playmobil set for my birthday: A pony wagon with two children figures. They immediately became my favorite toy. I usually took the red boy and the yellow girl everywhere I went. Playing with them in our small garden was my favorite activity after doing homework.
One day I got home from school and I found my toys were in boxes. My mom told me that she had to temporarily store them (including my Playmo-friends), as my dad and uncle were building new closets for the entire house. I asked her if at least I could have the red boy and the yellow girl back and she said it was ok. I found the boy, but never found the girl, which made me sad, and I always thought it made the little boy sad too. Playing with my Playmobil was never the same from that time.
Many years later, when I started earning my own money I began collecting Playmobil figures. My small collection soon became the subject of conversation in family meetings and among my closest friends, who have also contributed in the form of much appreciated gifts. One day a friend of mine told me that he had some Vintage figures at home and he would give them to me to enlarge my collection.
I was happily surprised to see that among those figures there was a little yellow girl, which not only completed my very first Playmobil set, but also brought the smile back to the lonely red boy. "You gave me the most important Playmo ever, thank you so much" I said to my friend. For a moment I recalled many memories of my childhood, playing with my beloved figures, giving me hours of fun stories and adventures.
Today these figures have a place of honor within my collection, they're a sort of "Adam and Eve" in my Playmo Story. And I thank my dad for giving me such a simple yet amazing toy when I was a kid, and my friend for making my collection emotionally complete.
